Officially is called the Residence Permit for Investment Activity (ARI), is a type of residence visa in Portugal. This visa category grants a residence permit to foreigners who prove that they have carried out certain types of investment in Portugal.<\/p>\n

In force since 2012, the Golden Visa makes it possible that, by maintaining the investment for at least five years, these foreigners are entitled to apply for Portuguese nationality. The program will allow you to live in Portugal or just invest in the country.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Golden Visa holders can live in Portugal, pursue a professional activity in Portugal and freely circulate, subject to visa waiver, by the Schengen countries.<\/p>\n

It is also possible to obtain a Permanent Residence Authorization after a period of 5 years and acquire Portuguese citizenship after a period of 5 years, in accordance with the applicable legislation and in force.<\/p>\n

Holders of a Residence Permit for Investment (Golden Visa) may apply for Family Reunification, applicable to the spouse, ascendants and children including children over 18 years of age who are in charge of the couple or one of the spouses, who are studying in Portugal or abroad.<\/p>\n

When the Family Reunion application is granted, the Residence Authorization is granted to family members, with the same duration as the holder’s residence permit.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
